Walter Palais is the brother of comic artist Rudy Palais. He began his career working with his brother for several New York publishers. He then went on to do comic book art in the 1940s, among others through the Iger and the Simon/Kirby studios. Palais did contributions to Fiction House titles like Planet Comics and Ranger Comics ('Futura', 'Crusoe Island', 'Stuart Taylor'). He also cooperated on some of Gilberton's Classics Illustrated with his brother, and did art on 'Ibis' (Fawcett), 'Public Enemies' (D.S.), 'Little Leaders' (Holyoke), western titles for Hillman, romance titles for Fox Comics, horror titles for Stanmor and features like 'Flaming Arrow', 'Indian Fighter' and 'Stamp' for Youthful Magazines.
