Noly Panaligan learned the finer points of the comics profession from Francisco V. Coching. He was introduced by Coching to Halakhak Komiks. Panaligan continued to work for Liwayway, and for ACE Publications. At ACE, he drew his most famous work, 'Payaso', for Tagalog Klasiks. Panaligan then moved to the advertising field, but the also became a part time editor and artist at Chronicle Publications. He was also active in animation. Abroad, he has drawn for such DC series as 'Jonah Hex', 'Ghosts', 'The Unexpected' and 'House of Mystery', as well as 'Vampirella' and 'Sherlock Holmes' for Warren Publications.
