Ricardo Peláez was born in Mexico City in 1968. He studied graphic design at the National School of Plastic Arts. He became a comic artist, creating several short stories for magazines such as El Gallito Cómics between 1991 and 2001. In 1998, a selection of his work was published in 'Fuego Lento'.
In 2000, he published 'El Complot Mongol', a comics adaptation of the novel by Rafael Bernal. He has participated in the anthology 'Senscional de Chilangos' (2000) and to the mini-series '7 Delitos Capitales' (2003), published as a campaign against crime.
