Pol Petit was a late 19th-century, early 20th-century French illustrator, part of the first generation of French comic artists. He made his debut as an illustrator in Le Pêle-Mêle in 1908. His work was subsequently published in Mon Dimanche, L'Intrépide, La Vie en Culotte Rouge, La Croix d'Honneur and Le Rire. He published comics in L'Épatant, a magazine launched by the Offenstadt brothers in 1908. Among his comics are 'Les Aventures Extraordinaires du Chass'd'Af Vadeboncoeur au Maroc' (1910) and 'Les Aventures Désopilantes du Prince Saboulot' (1915-16). He was also present in Fillette and Le Petit Belge.
