'Les Amoureux'.

Raymond Peynet was born in Paris, France in 1908. He became a freelance artist and illustrator, working for several magazines. In 1942, he came up with the characters of 'Les Amoureux', 'The Lovers', two simple drawn figures, whose charming pictures have delighted lovers all over the world. They became a success, and soon Peynet was one of the most popular illustrators of France. He drew over 6000 images of 'The Lovers'. He passed away in 1999.
