Frédéric Pillot began his career drawing historical comics, such as 'Tambow'. He then teamed up with Roger Seiter and began 'Simplissicimus' at Glénat in 1994. He is also active as an illustrator for both advertisements and the press. He has also worked on children's publications like 'Carnets Nature' at the publishing house Milan. In 1997, he drew 'La Hache du Pouvoir' at Delcourt.
