Les Vacances-Boulot (Pilote Mensuel 3, 1974)
Little is known about the French illustrator and cartoonist Claude Poppé. His work appeared in Pilote magazine throughout the 1970s. He worked extensively with writer Jean-Marie Pélaprat, but also with Gotlib, Lob, Reiser and Serge De Béketch. Poppé and Pélaprat (a.k.a. Guy Hempay) also contributed stories to Tintin and Formule 1 in the 1975-1977 period. Poppé made a comic story about Michel Jackson with François Corteggiani for Pif Gadget in 1984.
Poppé made a comic book about the castle of Usse with Daniel Bardet for Editions de l'Arbre à Images in 1985. In 1987 he provided the art for the comic book 'Les Chevaliers du Feu', written by Maugil and published by Editions du Rameau in commission of the chemical and pharmaceutical company Rhone-Puolenc. Claude Poppé was also the colorist of the first 'Blueberry' albums, published between 1965 and 1968.
