Born in Vigo and living in Madrid, Miguel Porto is part of the young generation of Galician authors, which include David Rubín, Alberto Vazquez and Jano. Porto has published in fanzines like Fanzine das Xornadas, BdBanda ('Sam Reinhardt'), and Barsowia ('Ulf e Olf'), as well as La Voz de Galicia's children's magazine Golfiño ('Lúa' and 'Niko Natas').
He is part of the Chapapote Comic Collective which commented on the neglicence commited by the Galician and Spanish authorities in the case of the oil ship Prestige's sinking in 2003 by the publication of the H2OIL anthology.
He has studied comic art with Victor Rivas and also collaborates with him as a writer in several projects (such as 'Lucky Duckie'in Alopecia Mental). He has an art college degree by the University of Vigo. Actually his comics also appears in publications such as Fanzine Enfermo, Dos Veces Breve, Argh!, Carne Liquida, or Lunático. He also works as an illustrator for Santillana, Xerais, Galaxia, and Diagonal newspaper.
