Léopold Prudon was born in 1993 in Paris. He came from a literary background: his father is a writer, and his mother an editor. He grew up reading Bill Watterson's 'Calvin & Hobbes' and more contemporary authors like Sfar, Trondheim, Blutch and Blain. He drew the first version of his debut comic 'De l'Autre Côté' while an Illustration student at the Estienne Art School. He later went on to study Decorative Arts in Strasbourg. The definitive version of 'De l'Autre Côté', his story about boat refugees, was published by Les Enfants Rouges in 2015.
