The Bugle-American, by Wendel Pugh

Wendel Pugh was an underground comix artist. He was an early member of the Krupp Comics/Kitchen Sink group, together with Denis Kitchen, Jim Mitchell, Don Glassford and Bruce Walthers. In the early 1970s, he regularly created weekly strips for the alternate paper The Bugle-American, which were subsequently syndicated to other underground newspapers and college papers via the Krupp Syndicate. Kinney made a graphic contribution to 'ProJunior’ (Kitchen Sink Press, 1971), a one-shot comic book paying homage to Don Dohler's character ProJunior.
