Brian Ralph graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1996 with a BA in Illustration. Brian's illustrations have appeared in a number of publications, including Wired and the New York Post. He is a member of the underground art collective known as Fort Thunder, and began publishing his mini-comic 'Fireball' while still studying. His comic 'Cave-In' was very well received, and was nominated for three Harveys and one Eisner award, as well as being picked as one of the five best comics of 1999, according to the Comics Journal. 'Cave-In' was followed by the Xeric Award-winning 'Climbing Out' (2002) and 'Daybreak', a zombie story with the reader as part of the story, that was published by Drawn & Quarterly in 2011.

Ralph is also teacher in Sequential Art at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He has also taught at the Maryland Institute College of Art and The Key School.
