Die Gruft der Monster (Gespenster Geschichten Spezial #102)

Vicente Ramos was born in Casas-Ibáñez, Castilla-La Mancha. He was a regular contributor to the supplement La Hora del Recreo of the paper Levante, for which he created his best known work, 'Chispa' between 1953 and 1963. Another series for this supplement was 'Aventuras de Colilla y su Pato Banderilla'. Ramos was furthermore present in Jaimito ('El Profesor Meloncete').

In the 1950s, he worked for Editorial Maga on collections like 'El Espía', 'Leyenda y Fantasía', 'Cartucho y Patata' and 'Pantera Negra'. He additionally contributed to 'Tenny Bull' for Realce and 'Cuentos y Leyendas Ejemplares' for Toray. He published the short-lived magazine Españolin in 1968. Until at least the 1980s, Ramos has also worked extensively for foreign publishers, such as Bastei in Germany (Gespenster Geschichten).
