Comic strip for Corriere della Sera
Italian cartoonist and illustrator Alberto Rebori was born in Chiavari in 1961. After classical studies, he attended the ISIA in Urbino, majoring in graphic art in 1984. An award-winning illustrator and humorist, he has worked for such publishers as Rizzoli, Corraini, Guanda Publishing, Pulcinoelefante, Nuages and Mondadori. He illustrated Philip Ridley, Jerry Spinelli and Anthony Horowitz novels for the Mondadori Boy's Books line, and has furthermore illustrated poems of Alda Merini, Sebastiano Vassalli, Fernanda Pivano and Giorgio Manganelli, a classic book of Italian cuisine and P.G. Wodehouse book covers.
He created the graphic novel 'Stendhal a Milano' for the Library Sormani in Milan, and the book 'The drummer of Garibaldi' for the Accademia of Santa Cecilia in Rome. His cartoons, illustrations and comics have appeared in magazines and newspapers like Linus, Italian Vanity Fair, Esquire (Italian edition), Elle Italy and Corriere della Sera. Rebori was also a painter, and had his work exhibited in Milan on several occasions. Alberto Rebori passed away on Saturday 23 April 2016.
