Itzik Rennert is one of the members of the Israeli comics group Actus Tragicus, together with Rutu Modan, Mira Friedmann, Batia Kolton and Yirmi Pinkus. He is a freelance illustrator and director of illustration at the Bezalel Academy of Art & Design in Jerusalem. He has worked as an art director at leading Israeli journals and advertising agencies. In 1989, he was awarded a scholarship by the Italian government for excellence in illustration and spent a year in Milan.
