Renzo Restani was born in Genova and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts. After working in the advertising and animation fields for a while, he focused on comics in 1958. From 1960 he cooperated on Lo Scolaro and a year later he started working for Universo publishers. For this publisher, he illustrated comics for L'Intrepido and Il Monello. He drew comics with several characters, like 'Dave Devil', 'Baby Bang', 'Moses' and 'Yal Brunn'. In Kiwi magazine, Restani illustrated 'Coeur Blessé', about a time traveling Native American.
