Leonard Rifas is an American comic creator who is interested in various techniques for visualising our global predicament. In 1976, he made All-Atomic Comics, about the use of nuclear energy. Other comics he created are Corporate Crime Comics, Tobacco Comics, Food First Comics, AIDS News and many others. In 1976, he also started Educomics, a publishing label that printed educational comics.
Since 1986, he has taught cartooning to students ranging from first graders to senior citizens. He also wrote books and articles about comics, such as 'The Forgotten War Comics: the Korean War and American Comic Books' (1991).
