Pete Riss worked as an artist for Fawcett, Standard, Quality, Prize, Street and Smith and Marvel during the 1940s. His most notable work was 'Kid Eternity' (1946-1949), 'Hopalong Cassidy' (1948-1951) and 'Millie the Model' (1947-1949). Riss also cooperated on a war propaganda 'Superman' story, written by Jerry Siegel.
