'Le Chevalier, la Mort et le Diable'.

Alain Robet is a French comic artist, with a specialization in naval sagas and historical reconstructions. He made his debut with 'Chrétiens en Auvergne' at Éditions Fleurus. He has made comic albums about the history of the western French cities Lorient (with Patrick Gree, 1988), Rouen (with Daniel Pecqueur, 1989), Evreux (with Françoise Bourdin, 1993), Orléans (with Luc Duthil, 1994), Vannes (with Olivier Gilleron, 1994), Brest (with Olivier Gilleron, 1995) and Quimper (with Luc Duthil, 1996). He additionally made a comic adaptation of Jean Valbert's novel 'Les Compagnons de la Loue' in Lombard's Signe de Piste collection with Georges Pernin in 1991, as well as a comic book about Christopher Columbus with Frédéric Fagot for Yves Kerguelen Éditions in 2004.

Robet worked with Patrick Cothias on 'Le Chevalier, la Mort et le Diable', a parallel story of the historical series 'Les 7 Vies de l'Épervier' by Cothias and André Juillard, at Glénat (1999-2000). With his wife Dominique as scriptwriter, he made four books of 'Gabrielle B.' at Emmanuel Proust Editions between 2005 and 2011. He is also active as a teacher in comic art and painting in Brest.
