Karel van Rooijen is a Dutch fine artist from Rotterdam, who gained notoriety in the early 1970s as the creator of 'Porna Zeldenrust - de vrouw die nimmer klaarkwam'. It was a pornographic feature about a woman who can't get an orgasm, and during her quest has sex with such diverse bed partners as Van Rooijen himself and a lesbian Adolf Hitler. The strip was serialized in the sci-fi monthly IF in the 1970s. Van Rooijen has presumably later distributed the comic himself on large sheets by mail order. Some sources write his name erroneously as "Karel de Rooy".
