Raquel Roque Gameiro Ottolino was the daughter of famous Portuguese artist Alfredo Roque Gameiro, and she became one of the most important Portuguese female illustrators and water color artists. In the 1920s, her illustrations and comic works were published in magazine Ilustraçao. Like her father, she designed a number of stamps for the Portuguese Post Office, including the series on Portugese costumes. Her sister Màmia Roque Gameiro was also a comic artist. Màmia was the aunt of Guida Ottolini.
