John Rosenberger was educated at the Pratt Institute. He began his career in comics doing crime and western stories for Hillman, Dell, Lev Gleason and D.S. Publishing in the late 1940s. He eventually took on horror, war and romance titles as well, among others for Avon, Marvel and Orbit Publications. He was a regular on DC's 'Superman' titles, as well as its spin-offs, during the 1960s and 1970s. He also had a regular run on 'The Fly' and 'The Mighty Crusaders' for Archie Comics. For this company, he also worked on 'Archie' and 'The Jaguar'.
