L'Aventure Mauricienne, by Sadon

Annick Sadonnet was born in Granville dans la Manche, France. She started drawing at an early age. In 1989, she married a man from the isle of Mauritius, Africa, and a few years later Annick obtained the Mauritian nationality. In 1996 she met Idriss Lallmohamed, with whom she developed the idea to make a comic about the history of Mauritius. She continued with the comic 'Aventures de Mario', about a Mauritian detective, which was published in 1999 in newspaper L' Express. Annick Sadonnet also made small webcomics, such as 'Le Grand Chaos' for amylose.net, which she signed "Ajol" (her married name is Jean-Louis). She also made cartoons under the name Sade, short for Sadon, and has worked on a new comic called 'La Vie Privée de Dan Baize', about a young Mauritian.
