Nicolas Eymerich #4 - Le Corps et le Sang 2 (2007)
David Sala was born in Lyon, France in 1973. He attended the prestigious Emile Cohl School of Arts, and after finishing his studies he started to work as an illustrator. He did mainly covers for science fiction, sword and sorcery, and crime-fiction books. The next step in his career was to illustrate children's books, and then he reached the summit of his career by working in comics - where his love for drawing, narrative and color finds its way into his sequential art.

David Sala has been widely recognised for his talents since his very first comic was released: including the Serignan City Award for 'Replay' in 2000, and the Albert Uderzo Award for the Best Young Artist in 2002. Sala's detective trilogy 'Replay' was created with Jorge Zentner and published by Casterman between 2000 and 2002. Sala and Zentner then continued their collaboration with the historical series 'Nicolas Eymerich, Inquisiteur', that is based on the novels by Valerio Evangelisti and published in the Delcourt collection Conquistador from 2003 to 2007. David Sala has created his first solo comic for Soleil in 2009, the science fiction series 'One of Us'. David lives and works in the city of Nimes, France.
