Born in Gergei, Tiziano Scanu moved to Turin, where he studied at the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti. He began his professional career as an illustrator for publishers and advertising agencies. He began his comics career at the publishing house Piuma Blu, illustrating '2700'. He became a staff artist of 'Jonathan Steele' at Bonelli in 1997. He co-founded the publishing house Edizioni Orione, where he began publishing the series 'Fantasy Warriors'.
