Thomas Schiewer was raised in Hennigsorf, near Berlin. A comic fan since early childhood, he had an apprenticeship in ceramics and started working in this field in Velten in 1990. Afterwards, he went to work for Hethke-Verlag, where he inked comics like 'Sigurd' and 'Nick'. He is character artist for Mosaik since 1998. He draws most of the main 'Abrafaxe' characters and has created side characters like 'Milos Petroviç' and 'Michel Ranvie'.
