Jens-Uwe Schubert joined the team of the popular DDR comic magazine Mosaik in 1988. Until 1990 he was active as an artist, but upon the departure of Lothar Dräger he became author of most of the Mosaik books. In addition, he scripted strips for SUPER! magazine, for Tele-Lotto and for SUPER-Illu. He also cooperated on the script of the 'Abrafaxe' animation film.
