Raymond Sébastien was born on the island of Martinique as the son of the Martinician father and a Guyanese mother. He grew up enjoying Japanese manga and anime, and eventually headed for the French mainland to study at the Émile Cohl art school in Lyon. His graphic style is inspired by the Caribbean culture, Afro-American and Spanish artists, as well as Japanese illustrators. For Éditions Jungle, he has done the character designs for the comic book adaptation of Cathy Cassidy's book series 'Chocolate Box Girls', called 'Les Filles au Chocolat'. He has also made the historical comic story 'L'Assassin de la République' for the local magazine Lyon Capitale. He resides in Hamburg, Germany, where he works for Goodgame Studios.
