'Formichino'. 

Roberto Sgrilli was an Italian painter, comic artist and animator,  born in 1897 in Firenze. He worked for, among others, Il Cartoccino dei Piccoli in Monza, and Il Corriere dei Piccoli, for which he illustrated tales. He also created the character 'Formichino', which he drew from 1936 to 1941. 'Formichino' was continued by Sergio Asteriti in the 1950s. Sgrilli made two animated shorts, 'Il Barone di Münchhausen' (1941), based on 'Baron Münchhausen', and 'Anacleto e la faina' (1942).
