Life and career
Katie Silagadze was born in 1995 in Georgia. Between September 2013 and July 2018, she studied Psychology at the Ilia State University. From 2019 until 2022, she worked as a senior graphic designer and art director for the company Quick in Tbilisi, Georgia. Since then, she has been senior graphic designer with the software house and creative growth marketing agency Redberry.

Moku J.
As a graphic designer, Katie Silagadze is notable for her artistic collaborations with the Georgian alternative hip hop/triphop band MokuMoku, who hail from Tbilisi. She took the photograph featured on the cover of their second album, 'Black Heaven' (2016), depicting a billboard reading the word "Heaven". Silagadze also designed the cover for the single 'Hako Is Alive and She Is 1959', lifted from the same album. In 2020, the band released 'Chicago Marinade' (2020), again with a cover drawn by Silagadze, this time depicting a baseball uniform.

One of the band members, Moku J. later started a solo career. While the cover of his debut solo album, 'Symbionese Liberation Army' (2020) was a painting by his mother, he hired the professional skills of Silagadze for his follow-up album, 'Bleeding Indigo' (2022). Her cover design for 'Bleeding Indigo' is a black-and-white illustration, cut up in various smaller closer-ups, to present a comic strip narrative. It shows a young woman standing next to an angry-looking man and a cap-wearing kid. In the background a car races away.
