Les Petites prouesses de Clara Pilpoile
Anne Simon studied at the École Supérieure de l'Image in Angoulême and at the Arts Déco in Paris. She was awarded as Young Talent during the 2004 Angoulême Comics Festival and has since published in the children's press (Okapi, Dlire, Citron, Choco Creed) and with several publishers (Albin Michel, Larousse, Gallimard). She co-authored a book with writing games for children with Christine Beigel for Albin Michel in 2006. Her book 'Persephone aux enfers' was published by Michel Lagarde that same year.
She is affiliated with the Illustrissimo agency, through which she has got assignments from La Poste, the Ministry of Finances and Gloss magazine, for which she makes a comic every three months. She made her album debut as a comic book artist with the series 'Les Petites prouesses de Clara Pilpoile' of which the first two books were published by Dargaud in the collection Poisson Pilote in 2007 and 2008. She subsequently contributed to the collective book 'Tranches napolitanes' in 2010 and made the dramatic comedy 'L'Histoire de Muriel' with Sandrine Martin in 2011. In 2011 she made a comic book on Freud with Corinne Maier for Dargaud, and Misma published her graphic novel 'La Geste d'Aglaé' in the following year.
