Mahendra Singh was born to Indian and German parents in Libya and received his training in illustration and typography in the USA. His first published comix work was with Fantagraphics in 1989, 'The Adventures of Mr. Pyridine'. Since then, he has done other comix for a variety of US-based publishers, while also working as a freelance illustrator and art director, mostly for SF/Fantasy and literary publishers.

He also has done licensed print work, some of it comics, for the Adventure Time TV show. His "protosurrealist" version of Lewis Carroll's 'The Hunting of the Snark', was published in 2010. He also writes and edits on various Carrollian, surrealist and comix subjects for a variety of print and on-line venues. He lives and works in Montreal since 2004.
