Mickey Siporin was a political cartoonist whose work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Newark Star-Ledger, Toronto Star and The Village Voice. He grew up in Chicago and remembers the regular political discussions he had with his father, which inspired him to draw political cartoons. Mickey Siporin was also a filmmaker and professor of fine arts. He lived in Upper Montclair, New Jersey until his death at age 65 in 2005.
