comic art by Oscar Soldati

Oscar Soldati was an Argentine cartoonist who drew the series 'Las Hijas de Pastasciuta' in Don Goyo in the 1920s. The comic was strongly inspired by comedies, and based its humor in the verbal gags in stead of the visual humor. In his artwork, Soldati is influenced by the expressionist style of for instance Feininger.
