Anna Sommer didn't plan to become a comic artist. She studied graphics in Zürich, and found that she wanted to use her drawings to tell stories in her own, personal style. Every one of her panels is like an artwork in itself, evoking a specific atmosphere. Her stories are usually a bit tragic, but in a comical way. Her first graphic novel was 'Damen Dramen', which tells nine wordless stories about women - one of them about a businesswoman who started an affair with the (female) private detective her husband has hired to check on her. Sadly hilarious, Anna's style is a mix between tragicomedy and black humor.
