Carol Swain has been originally trained as a painter. She began creating comics with her self-published 'Way Out Strips' in 1988. Her first graphic novel, 'Invasion of the Mind Sappers', appeared at Fantagraphics in 1996. Her second graphic novel, 'Foodboy', was also published by Fantagraphics. Many of Carol Swain's stories are set in Wales, and are grounded in autobiography. Carol Swain lives and works in London.
