'Skim'.
Jillian Tamaki is a Canadian illustrator living in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary in 2003 with a Bachelor of Design. She does mostly editorial illustration for magazines and newspapers with some dabbling in comics, including the New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, CBC and The New Yorker. In 2008 Tamaki illustrated the award-winning graphic novel 'Skim', written by her cousin Mariko Tamaki and published by Groundwood Books. A collection of her illustration work titled 'Gilded Lilies' was published by Conundrum Press in 2006. Drawn & Quarterly published 'Indoor Voice' in 2010, a book containing both illustrations and comics.
