Contribution to The Book of George, a compendium of Romanian comic art.
Alex Talambă was born in Bucarest in 1980. He worked as a commercial artist for several years, but his passion have always been comics. He made his debut in 2011 with 'Elabuga', a comic book that tells the story of a German prisoner in a Soviet concentration camp during World War II. The script was written by his friend George Dragan, who also wrote the script for Tamba's next book 'Mila 23', about the famous Romanian canoer Ivan Patzaichin, in 2012.
That same year Tamba published his first album with Casterman in France, 'Sidi Bouzid Kids', a story written by Eric Borg about the Arabian spring in Tunisia. Alex Talambă received the Sandu Florea Prize for his comics at the 22nd edition of the Romanian Comics Festival in Constanta in 2012.
