Alfio Ticci was born in Montereggioni, Siena, in 1944, and is the younger brother of 'Tex Willer' artist Giovanni Ticci. He has worked for the French pocket books of Editions Lug, Cepim publishers (the predecessor of Bonelli) and the Giolitti Studios. In the late 1970s, he cooperated with his brother on 'Tex Willer' in Collana Rodeo. He also made 'L'Esploratore Scomparso' ('Retrouvez Livingstone') with Decio Canzio for Collana Rodeo and in the collection Les Indomptables for Mon Journal. Also for Mon Journal, he illustrated several episodes of 'Joselito' in the 1979 comic book 'Joselito'. In 1998, he illustrated Gianni Brunoro's 'Penna, Pennini e Pennarelli for Un Eroe per Amico.
