Il Commissario Norton, by Antonio Toldo

Antonio Toldo was bon in Milan. After studying at the Art Academy in Venice he began to draw illustrations for popular magazines. His comics work started with the creation of 'Liberty Kid' for Albi dell'Intrepido for Casa Editrice Universo. Toldo worked for this publishing house until the end of 1980s with many characters, including 'Iber' (text Antonino Mancuso), 'Commissario Norton' (text Angelo Saccarello) and 'High Society' (text Patriccia Martinelli). He also worked for Mondadori Editore, drawing for the magazine Batman and Superman and 'Strippy la Ragazza Detective' (text Renata Pfeiffer). He also inked the pages of 'Nic Cometa' (text Pier Carpi) drawn by Sergio Zaniboni. In 1957 was one of the artists of the comics published in the newspaper Il Giorno with the story 'La Pisana'. He has worked on various publications in France (Edition Mondial) and England.
