Rich Tommaso grew up in New Jersey. He became a student at the Joe Kubert Art School, but quit after his first year. He then spent many years making pizza, while continuing to work on his own artistic projects, such as 'Perverso' and '8 1/2 Ghosts'. Tomasso's work has appeared in collections from Fantagraphics, Dark Horse, Top Shelf and Alternative Comics.
