'Wilt'.

Yves Urbain began his career in the rock magazine More between 1974 and 1978. He made illustrations as well as the comic 'Rockman' with Frédéric Jannin and Jean-Claude de la Royère. He became the assistant of Gos in 1975, whom he helped on the artwork of 'La Scrameustache' and 'Gil Jourdan' in Spirou. He also created his own series for this magazine, starting with 'Ernest Jolinge', who starred in six mini books and one long story in the magazine's regular pages between 1976 and 1979. He also made a couple of short stories starring 'Andréas' from scripts by Bizu.

Urbain fulfilled his military service in 1979 and during this period, he also drew for the Navy magazine Vox. He joined Tintin in 1980 as the assistant of Walli and Bom on 'Modeste et Pompon'. He also worked with Bom on a couple of short stories starring 'Kathy Brizard'. Between 1982 and 1984 he drew several cartoons, gags and illustrations for Sport Cérébral, a publisher of crossword puzzles.

By 1990 Urbain was present at Éditions Claude Lefrancq with the series 'Wilt', from scripts by André-Paul Duchateau. Three albums of this series of comic adaptations of Tom Sharpe books appeared from 1990 to 1992. During the same period and for the same publisher, Urbain worked with François Rivière on 'Abbe Brown', based on stories by Gilbert Keith Chesterton.

Urbain self-published the comic book 'Hippie: Briard, Vous Avez Dit Briard?' in 1994. In the following years, he worked for Tome & Janry and Studio Peyo. He joined the association Le Gang in 2004 through which he continued to publish new 'Hippie' albums.
