Sébastien Vastra is the author of the fantasy series 'Mâchefer', that started in 2001 at Vents d'Ouest. He has won several comics contests, such as the contests held in Le Havre (1995), Cain (1996), Amiens (1997 and 1998) and Rouen (1998 and 1999). At the comic festival of Rouen in 1999 he met Fred Duval, who became his scenarist on 'Mâchefer'.
