Wide Vercnocke was born in Louven and is a graduate of the Institut Saint-Luc. He works as a freelance artist in Brussels since 2010. He makes drawings for Knack magazine, and has published the books 'Mijn muze ligt in de zetel' (Bries 2013), an "ode to doing nothing", and 'Wildvlees' (Bries, 2014), a story about the animal in man and the human in animals. He also makes graphic poems, and is the house artist for the monthly event Sprekende Ezels in Leuven.
