Comic art by Vladimir Vesovic

Vladimir Vesović is a Serbian freelance comic book artist and animator from Belgrade. He is a graduate from the art department of the Belgrade College of Education and the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. He published his first comic stories in magazines like Student and Mladost in the 1980s. He later had appearances in Yu Strip, Kekec, Eks Almanah and RS Magazine, among other magazines.

Vesovic has participated in several group exhibitions of Yugoslav comic artist and was one of the founders of the Beogradski Krug 2 comic arts group in Belgrade in the late 1970s, as well as the comics school at the Braca Stamenkovic University in the 1990s. He was also one of the driving forces behind the magazine Tron in 1992.

He has made illustrations for Serbian folk tales, Lewis Carroll and Tolkien books, and for SF magazines like Sirijus, Emitor and Alef. As an animator, he was part of Aleksa Gajic's team for Serbia's first animated film for adults, 'Technotise: Edit & I', that was released in 2009.
