Eric Vincent was part of the underground comix scene of the late 1970s and early 1980s. He contributed to such comics as Babyfat #8, Beastiality #1, Brand X Comics and Drawings, Cap'n Retro #1, Cerberus #1 and 2, Comix Wave, Cosmic Capers, Dr. Wirtham's Comix and Stories #5 and 6, Eccentrics Fever Pitch #4, San Diego Funnies, Super-Freak #1, and Yikes #3. His college newspaper strips were collected in the comic book 'Borrowed Time'.
In later years, Vincent has drawn for some Dark Horse and Image titles, such as 'Shadowhawk'. He is best-known for the SF series 'Alien Fire', created with Anthony Smith for Kitchen Sink Press in 1987. For First Comics' Classics Illustrated series, he drew the comic books of 'Island of Doctor Moreau' and 'Aesop's Fables'. He was an inker for First's 'Twilight Man' and a colorist for 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' and Gladstone's 'Donald Duck' books.
