Born in Alkmaar, Jorg de Vos studied at the Graphic Design College in Utrecht. After several odd jobs, he made his start as a designer and painter by making Trompe-l'oeil murals and other wall decorations. In 2005 he became the painter of the comic series 'Storm', pencilled by Romano Molenaar and written by Martin Lodewijk. After two stories written by Lodewijk, De Vos took on the writing of the team's third story himself, which began publication in Eppo magazine in 2010. A collection of his fine art and designs for future comic projects called 'Schaduwwerk' was published in 2012.
In 2020 he joined 75 Dutch & Flemish comic artists to make a graphic contribution to the free collective comic book ‘Striphelden versus Corona’ (Oogachtend, Uitgeverij L, 2020). The book is intended to support comics stores who had to close their doors for two months during the lockdown at the height of the COVID-19 virus pandemic.
