Chris Wahl was born in Murwillumbah, Australia in 1973. He started his career in comics publishing his work in the sci-fi fantasy magazine Oblagon. When this magazine folded, Wahl co-founded X-Press Comics, a publishing house where he and fellow artists created the comic series 'Platinum', for which he won two awards for favorite artist and favorite comic cover. The series stopped after three issues, but Wahl went on to draw covers, pin-ups and short stories for several comic publications. At the age of only 21, Wahl received the Stanley Award for Best Adventure Strip in 1994.
