Koziolek Matolek, by Marian Walentynowicz

Marian Walentynowicz was a Polish artist and architect, and also one of the first Polish comic artists. Born in Saint Petersburg, he studied architecture in Warsaw. Together with writer Kornel Makuszynski, he created the popular character 'Koziolek Matolek' in 1933. Makuszynski and Walentynowicz told the stories of Matolek the goat stories in images with texts in rhyme underneath them. Another creation by the duo was the monkey 'Malpka Fiki Miki' in 1935.
