Wang Dazhuang is born in the city Jinan in the province Shandong. He started his manhua career in 1955. As editor and director of the cultural programs of Heilongjiang Provincial TV he made a 30 volume TV series about Chinese manhua. In the 1980s he was the chairman of the cartoon society of Heilongjiang.
