'Housebroken'.
Steve Watkins is a Los Angeles-based lawyer and additionally a cartoonist. His first strip, 'Stuff Happens', was created for the Howard University school newspaper. While a student at Yale University Law School, Watkins filled his law school notebooks with doodles that later became his comic strip 'Housebroken'. 'Housebroken' is a strip about a middle-class black family that takes in an ex-rap star dog. Watkins created it for Tribune Media Services from 2002 to 2010, and it has been collected in books like 'Housebroken: There's a New Dawg in Town' (2004) and 'Gangsta Yoga with DJ Dog' (2005) by Andrews McMeel Publishing.
